For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been following a lovely little project called ‘Me & Megan‘ – a facebook-based interactive documentary of a couple separated by some 12,000kms.
While the ‘Me’ of ‘Me & Megan’ – Jason – spends the following year in Australia, his beautiful girlfriend Megan is volunteering for an NGO in Ethiopia. They each have little cameras that they use to send messages to one another, but rather keep the footage to themselves, they are sharing it with the world. At the end of the year, they are going to cut it all in to a feature length documentary. Check it out here!
There are a few things I LOVE about this project:
- Episode 3 – lovely photos from Hailey Bartholomew (who’s 365 Grateful project was inspiration for my little photo blog), a gorgeous song from Amy Seeley (see below) and a few emotional moments from when it all began.
- It’s so accessible. I’m bit of a social media nerd and I just love how they’re using Facebook.
- How honest and real they both are in front of the cameras. I’m so intrigued by this feature doco they’re putting together!
- It’s nice to know TD&H and I aren’t the only ones rockin’ out the LDR.
Anyhow, ‘like’ them on facebook and check out Amy Seeley’s gorgeous song ‘Surprisingly So’…
